Being a woman in radio has definitely had its ups and downs. I started from the street team and worked my way up to becoming the Morning Show Cohost on V101, Sacramento’s Throwback Hip Hop and R&B station.

But it was not an easy path.

Radio is a male-dominated industry so I’m elated when I see women excel in the field.

The struggle is real for us so I had girl talk with the Founder of Women In Radio, Meaghan Taylor, who created an organization for the support and advancement of women in the radio industry.  Listen in to hear tips, advice, and how it all got started.
