“Turn off the news,” they say! “Watch something lighter to take your mind off of real matters,” they say. But what if you are the person broadcasting the news? That’s the case for news anchor, Keristen Holmes.

In the midst of politics, a pandemic, and racism, working in news has to be exhausting right now, but Holmes sees the light! She says, “2020 has afforded us as Black journalists to tell the stories we’ve always wanted to tell.”
