“Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate this thing called life.” – Prince
Prince.
I loved Prince. How could I not? My sister is the biggest Prince fan ever and she would blast his music throughout the house, car, wherever. Huge fan. She went to so many of his shows and I was there with her (and her purple outfits) during his Forum run and saw the happiness on her face. My sister loved that man. When I heard the devastating news that Prince passed away at a short 57-years-old I immedicately called my sister and of course she didn’t answer the phone because her heart was broken.
I’m sure this was the story of many fans yesterday.
Prince was in his own lane; he dared to be himself. He wore his heels and makeup, played over 20 instruments, won countless awards, and inspired so many artists that it’s hard not to feel this loss. I remember playing his music in band, performing to his music in dance, airing his music on the radio.
There’s no other and will be no other.
Here are a few memorable moments of one of the greatest artists of all time. Prince.
That time Prince, James Brown, and Michael Jackson performed together. May they all rest in music paradise.
The 2012 SuperBowl when Prince performed Purple Rain, in the rain.
The shade was always real.
When Prince kicked Kim Kardashian off stage.
Prince FULL performance on The Arsenio Hall Show.
He surprised the audience at our 2012 iHeart Radio Music Festival.
When the tickets for his Forum run was as low as $25 because he cared about his fans that much and wanted us all to witness the greatness that is, Prince. I was there. We love and ADORE you, Prince. Thank you.

I think I speak for most fans when I say Prince, no one, and “Nothing Compares 2 You.”
Rest in peace.
Prince is gone and I’m still in denial. He was a true genuine artist that’ll never be replicated or duplicated! Just watching this ‘Shade’ real is hilarious, to see him perform was ‘dyNomite!!!’ He impacted my life just as he did my daughters and anyone else who ever heard or saw him (isn’t that everybody?)!! He will sorely be miss but I thank you Ashley for this very well put-together calamity of his personality, talents and performances.
