Props to Women in Hip Hop

I can’t believe it’s been 25 years since YoYo dropped her debut album, Make Way for Motherlode which features her hit single, “Can’t Play With My YoYo.”

Since then she has become an actress and activist, and continues her love of hip hop by opening, “YoYo’s School of Hip Hop.”

I caught up with YoYo to discuss her organization and of course we talked about the music industry. She opens up about Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea, and she has a surprising theory on  why there aren’t so many women in hip hop anymore.
