R.I.P. Whitney Houston (1963-2012)

I Will Always Love You. ~Whitney Houston

This one hurt.  I’m actually crying while typing. This news took awhile for me to believe.

Whitney Houston has passed away. The cause of death has not been announced. She was 48.

Whitney’s music is TIMELESS. Her voice was INCOMPARABLE. She was an ICON.

I don’t know anyone who didn’t enjoy Whitney Houston’s music or acting roles.  Plenty of women still say they are “Waiting to Exhale” …myself , along with others always try to hit the “And Iiiii Will Always Love Yoooou” note. She will definitely be missed, but she definitely left her mark.

With a shaky past, she was just getting her life back on the right track. In May of 2011 she checked herself into rehab.  She recently produced and starred in the remake of the 1976 film, “Sparkle” which is expected to arrive in theaters August 17, 2012. In addition, she was being considered as a judge for the singing reality show, The X Factor. The news of Houston’s death came on the eve of music’s biggest night, The Grammy Awards. Houston was scheduled to perform tonight at a pre-Grammy gala for producer Clive Davis. Such a loss.

I’m sending my condolences to her only daughter Bobbi Kristina, and her entire family. Rest in peace Whitney Houston. Your fans will ALWAYS LOVE YOU! GONE, but NEVER FORGOTTEN.

“I decided long ago, never to walk in anyone’s shadows. If I fail, if I succeed…at least I live as I believe ….No matter what they take from me …They can’t take away my dignity! Because the greatest love of all is happening to me. I found the greatest love of all inside of me.” One of my favorite’s by Whitney Houston…what’s yours?

Feel free to leave your thoughts.
