Is it just me or has the new year been exhausting?! I’ve been so tired lately and I decided to lean in to rest and relaxation instead of trying to stay productive. I definitely stayed in bed until the afternoon for the past two weekends! But I listened to my body and felt recharged and rejuvenated after catching up on my rest.
Needless to say, rest is productive. I got so much done after I took a moment to be still and recharge.
I’m so happy that people are realizing that it’s okay to slow down. I’m glad we’re stepping away from terms such as “team no sleep,” and “I’ll sleep when I die.” We’re graduating from hustle culture and embracing self-care!
I needed physical rest for the past two weekends. I didn’t go anywhere and my body just wanted to chill. But there are other types of rest that you need to relax your mind, body, and soul.
