Go Girl Ep 38: HIV/AIDS Advocate Masonia Traylor Says “When People See Me They Don’t See HIV”

World Aids Day just passed on December 1st so I decided to have girl talk with Masonia Traylor, a global HIV/AIDS advocate.

During a routine medical visit in late 2010, she was told by her provider that she “was not at risk” for HIV. At the tender age of 23, she was diagnosed as HIV positive and 2 weeks later found out that she was pregnant, which changed her life.

In case you don’t know, 37.9 million people around the world are living with HIV. Listen in as Masonia shares her story while giving tips on how to protect yourself and what women should know about HIV.

Know your status and wrap it up.

Plus I’ll give this week’s affirmation and music motivation.
