Another Wednesday, another time to give Props to Women in Hip Hop! 

Queen Latifah is just that, a QUEEN! In the early 90s, she dropped female empowerment tracks such as “Ladies First,” and “U.N.I.T.Y.” But that was just the beginning.

The rapper can add songwriter, actress, television producer, talk show host and model to her resume. She recently won her third SAG award for her role as Bessie Smith in HBO’s Bessie.

And she’s still not done.

She recently joined the Board of Directors for We Do It Together,  a non-profit production company created to finance and produce films, documentaries, TV and other forms of media dedicated to the empowerment of women.

I want to give props to Queen Latifah for releasing hip hop music that celebrates, uplifts, and empower women and staying true to her brand! All hail the Queen!
